In 2000 PAMCANI and the Lake/McHenry PHCC (now merged as the PAMCANI Alliance) created a program to
acknowledge contractor members who achieved improvement in several measures of a safe workplace, including:
- the number and rate of lost workday cases,
- the number and rate of lost work days,
- the workers compensation modification.
If the rates for the current year are less than the three-year average, better than the previous year
or zero, the firm earns one point. Firms also earn a point if their mod is less than their three-year average or better than the
previous year. Total number of points possible is seven. Firms with four or more points receive awards.
Each of the winners receives a trophy acknowledging their achievement.
