Downers Grove, Ill.; Feb. 28, 2008 — Students living in Lake and McHenry Counties in third through
sixth grade are invited to submit entries in the Go With The
Flow…Wasting Water Is A No!!! poster contest being sponsored by the Plumbing and Mechanical Contractors Authority of Northern
Illinois (PAMCANI). “This is our 15th such annual competition to encourage water conservation,”” said S.J. Peters,
executive director of PAMCANI, “and we’re looking forward again to a record-breaking level of participation this
year.”
The student winning the Grand Prize, selected from all the entries submitted, will receive a $500 U.S. Savings Bond and the
winner’s school will receive a $2,000 CDW (Computer Discount Warehouse) gift certificate.
Prizes For Each Grade Level, Winners’ Schools
Prizes also will be awarded for first through third place in each grade level; the winning students will receive U.S. Savings
Bonds of $200, $150 and $100, respectively. Honorable Mention awards of $75 U.S. Savings Bonds will be made at the judges’
discretion. In addition, schools that have first-, second- or third-place individual winners will receive checks for $100, $50
and $25, respectively for each winning entry.
Deadline April 4
Entries may be rendered in any art medium; overall size must not exceed 24x36 inches. They must be submitted by April 4, 2008 at
any of the locations listed below and will become the property of PAMCANI. They will be judged for originality, design and theme
topic. Each student is allowed only one entry. Winners will be announced by May 9, 2008.
