PAMCANI Named To Associations Advance America Honor Roll For Teaching Website

Downers Grove, Ill. - July 26, 2006 - The Plumbing & Mechanical Contractors Authority of Northern Illinois (PAMCANI) has been named to the 2006 "Associations Advance America" Honor Roll, a national awards competition sponsored by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), Washington, D.C. to recognize outstanding programs that result in significant benefit to American society.

Access To Fresh Teaching Materials
PAMCANI received the award for the Get2Know H2O website which provide teachers with instant access to fresh teaching materials related to the water cycle and water conservation. The website includes easy-to-do experiments and interactive games that give kids a fun new place to spend their time.

Teaching Increasingly Crucial
"It is becoming increasingly crucial in today's world that we teach kids the importance of saving water, but the trick has always been to find a way that will keep them interested," said Matt Weisz, owner of MVP Plumbing, Montgomery, Ill., and member of the Plumbing & Mechanical Contractors Authority of Northern Illinois. "We really believe this Web site is the perfect solution," he added.

PAMCANI and its related groups, headquartered in Downers Grove, represent more than 350 union contractors and sustaining members who provide and maintain plumbing, heating and cooling systems for institutional, commercial, business and residential applications. It invests more than $3 million dollars annually in education and training for apprentices, journeymen and contractors.
