"It's A Snap - Turn
Off The Tap" is Theme for Third- Through Sixth-Grade Student Poster Contest for
Western Suburbs
Downers Grove, Ill.;
Sept. 17, 2005 - To again encourage water conservation, "It's A Snap - Turn Off
The Tap" is the theme this year for the 12th annual poster contest being
sponsored by the Industry Promotion Fund of the Plumbing and Mechanical
Contractors of Northern Illinois. Entries are welcome from all third- through
sixth-grade students living in DeKalb, DuPage, Kane and Kendall Counties.
$500 Bond Grand Prize
The contest Grand Prize is a $500 U.S.
Savings Bond to be awarded to a winner selected from all the entries submitted,
and that student's school will be awarded a $2,000 CDW (Computer Discount
Warehouse) gift certificate.
Prizes For Each Grade Level, Winners'
Schools
Prizes will be awarded for first through third place in each
grade level; the winning students will receive U.S. Savings Bonds of $200, $150
and $100, respectively. Honorable mention awards will be made at the judges'
discretion.
In addition, schools that have first-, second- or
third-place individual winners will receive checks for $100, $50 and $25,
respectively.
Entries may be rendered in any medium; overall size must
not exceed 24x36 inches and they must be submitted by Oct. 21, 2005 at any of
the locations listed below. Each student is allowed only one entry. Winners
will be announced by Nov. 18, 2005.
