Pecatonica Plumber Wins $1,000 Safety Incentive Award for 2004
Downers Grove, Ill.; Feb. 28, 2005 - James Rapp (above, r),
Pecatonica, Ill., won a $1,000 safety incentive award for his accident-free
work record in 2004 from the Plumbing and Mechanical Contractors of Northern
Illinois Industry Fund. He is employed by
David Thomas
Mechanical, Inc., St. Charles. Jack Jangelis (above, l), of David Thomas
Mechanical, presented the award. Rapp also won the flag-decorated hard hat.
Rapp was selected for the award from among 5,340 Industry Fund member
employees who were accident free for at least one quarter during 2004.
The Industry Fund, headquartered in Downers Grove, represents 370 union
contractors in DeKalb, DuPage, Kane, Kendall, Lake and McHenry Counties as well
as sustaining members who provide and maintain plumbing, heating and cooling
systems for institutional, commercial, business and residential applications.
It invests more than $3,500,000 annually for education and training of
apprentices and journeymen.
