New Plumbing and Mechanical Web Site For Northern Illinois Wins National APEX Award
Downers Grove, Ill.;
Sept.12, 2005 - The Association for Plumbing and Mechanical Excellence web site
plumbingexcellence.org sponsored by the Plumbing and
Mechanical Contractors Authority of Northern Illinois, won an APEX Award
for excellence for new web sites. The Authority, headquartered in Downers Grove,
represents 350 union contractors and sustaining members in DeKalb, DuPage,
Kane, Lake, Kendall and McHenry Counties.
The new website, hosted by
Copresco, supports
the Industry Fund's PRIDE program, to designate Professional, Responsible,
Involved, Developed and Excellent contractors in Northern Illinois.
The
APEX® Awards (Awards for Publications Excellence Competition) are given
annually by the editors of
Writing That
Works, a nationally circulated newsletter published by Communications
Concepts, Inc. The APEX® Awards Competition is in its 17th year. Created
for writers, editors, publications staff, and business and nonprofit
communicators, the Awards are given in some 97 communications categories in 11
main groups. They are based on content, usability and overall communications
excellence in corporate, nonprofit and independent settings.
The 325
members of the Industry Fund provide and maintain plumbing, heating and cooling
systems for institutional, commercial, business and residential applications.
It invests more than $3,000,000 annually for education and training of
apprentices and journeymen.
