Four Lake-McHenry Contractors Earn Safety Award
Downers Grove, Ill.;
April 15, 2005 – Four members of the Lake and McHenry Plumbing, Heating
& Cooling Contractors Association have earned its Commitment to a Safe Workplace
Award for 2004. The award recognizes improvements in safety made by the
contractors over the last three years in at least four out of six categories,
such as lost workdays and workers’ compensation resolutions.
Three-Time Consecutive Winner
One contractor now has won
the award for the last three years: Colette & Ano Plumbing Co, Inc. –
Antioch.
Two contractors have won the award for the last two years:
Dankris Industries, Inc. – McHenry
Ernie Peterson
Plumbing – Waukegan.
The fourth winner for 2004 is:
Flader
Plumbing & Heating Co. – Vernon Hills.
The Association,
headquartered in Downers Grove, represents 100 union contractors as well as
sustaining members in Lake and McHenry Counties who provide and maintain
plumbing, heating and cooling systems for institutional, commercial, business
and residential applications. It invests more than $500,000 annually in
education and training for apprentices and journeymen.
