The Works Two-Day Conference:
Information, Education, Conversation

Make plans to attend this informative two-day conference planned for all PAMCANI affiliated contractors, along with your staff, the "next generation," and valued office professionals.

The Works Bring Along Your Key Staff

Whether you or your colleagues attend all the sessions (recommended) or join us for the particular topics that interest you the most, this "in town and in touch" event has been specifically and deliberately developed with your interests as our foremost goal. The conference will welcome an abundance of noteworthy, dynamic, knowledgeable and respected business observers and experts to offer meaningful industry perspectives and forecasts. Workshops have been planned to equip you with advice and information you can put to good use as an employer, contractor and business owner/manager. So if all the substantial workshop selections make it difficult to choose, solve this "problem" by encouraging others from your company to attend too.

Topics Developed for Office, Administrative and Management Teams

We have also devoted special attention to the office pros and managers that our contractors count on, with subjects of particular interest and usefulness on Friday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. However, any and all staff who are employed by our contractors are welcome and encouraged to participate in any and all sessions and functions. Take a look at the session descriptions and be sure to send key staff members as you see fit.

CE Credit Classes Featured

Our conference features four CE hours that can be earned toward the Illinois Plumbing License. Take advantage of a one-stop educational opportunity.

Networking Opportunities and Social Functions

Social activities top it all off, with breakfast and lunch on both days, and our unique reception on Friday evening at Brookfield Zoo's new "Great Bear Wilderness" exhibit (from 6 to 10 p.m.). This nighttime gala will include cocktails and abundant appetizers, while serving as the main social event of "The Works" conference. Our Zoo gathering also represents PAMCANI's biennial "Legislative Endorsement" function by welcoming candidates who've earned our association's support and backing due to views consistent with our contractors' stance.

Important Information about PAMCANI’s “The Works” Conference

The conference is open and free of charge to all PAMCANI-affiliated contractors (meaning those who are association members, and/or Industry Fund contributors based on their signatory status as employers who hire from either or both UA Local 93 and Local 501), our associate PAMCANI members, the staff of the aforementioned, and invited guests. Pre-registration is required for all attendees.

Please note that it is worthwhile, yet costly, to present an event such as “The Works,” and we urge only those who intend to participate to register so that we can properly plan, maximize our resources, and minimize waste of funds. Therefore, although there is no fee being charged to those who qualify, registrants who fail to attend without providing advance notice will be billed $25.00 per person by PAMCANI. We hope you attend, but please be considerate and sensitive to the expense involved.

Union pipe trades contractors represented by our sister associations (either MCAA or PHCC) are welcome to attend, at a cost of 90.00 per person (covers both days). Once registered, this fee is transferable to a colleague from the same company, but it is not refundable. Also, any unregistered party will not be permitted to attend.

Overnight hotel accommodations at the Doubletree are available at a specially agreed to rate of $99.00 (double occupancy) to be paid for by the attendee. Call the hotel directly at (630) 971-2000 and mention that you are part of the PAMCANI group to receive the discounted rate.
